TRIANGLE DIY

So I'm not sure if this is just an Melbourne thing or not, but go into the city and you see all the hipster teens carrying this Aussie Disposals backpack around. I kinda didn't want one in the first place because so many people have it, but because it's so cheap ($8.95) I thought why not put my own twist on it, and if I fuck it up I can always buy another one and start again!

You may know that I love a big love for triangles so I decided to draw some on. I started off drawing the triangles on with a fabric marker, but because the fabric is so textured, the marker would only cover the bumpy bits on top. I ended up painting over it with fabric paint which gave it a more even coverage. So yeah, I'm pretty happy with this DIY. Haven't posted a DIY in yonks so I hope you all like it! xo

Howdy guys! I've finished exams.. my final exams, which means I'm free from high school forever! These are just some things that I bought during exams (retail therapy to release stress, duh) and after exams.

1. I got some two lovely nail polishes by Rimmel, which is my favourite. I can finally have my nails painted 24/7 because I wasn't allowed nail polish in school.

2. The socks and nail polished are from a Rubi Shoes pop up store in South Wharf. 10 items for $10, so that picture all up is worth only $6! Im so glad I found their triangle necklaces, because I love triangles. How fucking great!

3. So I'm more of a Vans sneakers fan (I HAVE SIX PAIRS WOOO), but occasionally I do like Converse Chucks. I've been on the hunt for a cheap pair of full black leather ones, but came across these amazing purple ones at their DFO store for $50 so I just had to have them! Very good buy indeed.

GUYS, I HAVE OFFICIALLY GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL! Yesterday was the last day and it was so sad when everyone was hugging each other goodbye! It really sunk in that I was leaving high school forever during the final assembly when the year 12 video was playing. So many memories that I'll never forget. On Friday I tried to steal my locker door and sneak it home but somehow teachers appeared out of nowhere so now my locker door that I unscrewed is sitting in the middle of the locker bay hahaha. Damn it! Now just gotta pull through 5 exams and then I can party hard and get fully sloshticated. My last exam is on the 17th of November so I'll be going crazy after that!

So here's my green undercut that I was talking about a few posts back. My friend bleached a bit too far so it went past my undercut but it doesn't matter as the hair in that area is short anyway, so will grow longer in no time! I've had to re-dye it since I first got it done because the green fades so quickly which really sucks.

Hey y'all. I haven't used my fish eye lens for AGES so I thought I'd take it out on this little outing with my friend Nicole on Friday afternoon. She ended up getting some pretty rad shots that I decided to show you all! After this outing she dyed my undercut a turquoisey aqua green because I wanted a change to my hair as I've had pretty much the same hair for almost two years. I had never dyed my hair before so I thought why not? It went well and I like it but I got some strange looks and gasps from friends at school today.. haha oh well. Story of my life. House of Holland is one of my favourite British labels and this collection is by far my favourite from London Fashion Week. I absolutely adore the various mixture of patterns, textures, colours and materials. I mean, who knew a reptile skin print would look great with a sheer multi colour blocked shirt? I love that nothing really matches, but still really works well together. I think my favourite pieces from this collection would have to be the sheer shirts in their lovely pastel colours. WANT. xo

So Melbourne got a taste of summer the other day- 29 degrees! It was pretty much amazing, but quickly dropped down to the temperature of inside of a fridge the next day. I've wanted to get a tattoo for years but obviously I haven't been able to because I haven't been old enough and stuff, but now I am approaching 18 (JUST UNDER THREE MONTHS! OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD), and know that I definitely want to get one! I'm thinking of getting something on my wrist, forearm and on the ribs/back. Everyone says "get something meaningful or you'll regret it" and shit, but to be honest I can't think of anything meaningful to get tattooed. I just want small subtle tattoos that are a bit random but at the same time not too out there and extravagant. Something like Anja Konstantinova's tattoos above is what I have in mind! Was thinking of an outline of a triangle, pizza slice and a feather. Random and meaningless but I couldn't care less.. for now. Do you guys have tattoos, and are they as painful as people say they are? Opinions? xo

So what is my life like right now? SCHOOL SCHOOL SCHOOL. I have so much folio work to do it's insane! For my Viscom folio I'm making a skirt and a top of my own design. I bought a couple fashion design books to help me along the way, and have been getting yonks and yonks of inspiration from magazines. I'm really loving these editorials from the latest issues of Vogue Australia and YEN. Bursts of colour, buttoned up collars and dip dyed hair never hurt anyone. So.. I'm a little obsessed with this store called I.D.S right now. They have the sickest on trend clothes and at a reasonably affordable price. I got this top on sale from $40 down to $21 and these shorts from $55 (I think?) down to $40. I had been looking for faux leather shorts for soooo long. The ones I had found were either shitty looking on my or too expensive so thankfully I found these! How cool are these tights? As you guys have probably noticed, I'm a big fan of tights and I got these sent to me from Romwe. They are cute and comfy and I quite enjoy wearing them! I love tights. They can add that simple extra bit of "oomph" to an outfit without any effort, and keep you that bit extra warmer. I love tights, as you can see in most of my outfit posts! I especially love suspender tights. The ones from House of Holland are rad, but I'm yet to get my hands on a pair as they're a bit too expensive for me!
Anyway, the lovely kids at Ambra sent me a package of tights and leggings to show you all. They're pretty cute and comfy.

Hey amigos,

Wore this out to the city yesterday for a picnic and a bit of shopping with some friends. Of course, typical me, I only had $5 in my wallet so couldn't buy a thing, until I saw an op shop on the way home on the tram. I got off and found myself a little striped blue and white canvas backpack/rucksack thing and a green t shirt with INDIA on it. Top form if I do say so myself!

Anyway, this purple skirt I'm wearing is a long awaited addition to my wardrobe. Most of the items in my wardrobe are patterned, and mostly typical hues like blue and black. I just needed a skirt in one plain colour, so the other day i went out and bought this lovely purple fabric and decided to make a skirt out of it. I turned out well and I'm pretty happy with the final product! Can't wait to incorporate this skirt into more of my outfits! xo

I normally try not to do emotional posts as I don't want this blog to become an emo blog and therefore scare off all of you readers out there, but I really think I need to vent.

So, I met this boy a few months ago at an 18th. He's not the typical "hot indie boy that wears Vans and skinny jeans" type that I normally go for, but his personality definitely makes up for it. I like everything about him.. He plays football (and is amazing at it), has dimples, plays the guitar, has great taste in music, is cute, is funny and wears Vans! It wasn't "love at first sight", but I definitely had a thing for him as soon as we met. Anyway, blah blah blah shit happened and I'm not sure if it was love, but it was definitely something fucking strong. Basically things didn't work out in the end because he's a complicated fuck and I got hurt. Very hurt.

I've always wondering what love feels like, and I think I finally felt it, and it sucks that it didn't work out because I've never felt this way about any guy before. I've never cried over a guy before, until this one. Now I want to distance myself from him, because I've never thought of him as just being my friend, so being around him just as a "friend" would hurt.. and I DON'T KNOW. The last time i thought i was getting over him, I proved myself wrong, because I saw him at a party and my feelings for him blossomed again. I'm so over this situation because I was so hurt and I've never liked anyone so much but I miss him and it's hard. This whole thing has left me emotionally drained. I'm sure some of you can relate right? I hate boys. Throw bricks and sticks at them.

So yeah, this is part of the reason why I've had a brief-ish absence from blogging.. along with the funtastic life of a year 12 student too... That was sarcasm. Haha so.. I PROMISE the next post will not be depressing! I hope you're all having a great weekend! xo

I had a pretty fun weekend. Started off on Friday after school, I went to Chapel Street with my friend because she wanted to get some jeans and then went to my first ever AFL match on Saturday night with her as well as some other friends. This is what I wore to the footy. I've been searching for a nice varsity jacket for some time. All the good ones are expensive and cheap ones are just shit, so I was pretty psyched when I found this one. It's not amazing but I do love it quite a bit. It's very warm, and was super cheap! I also diy'd these cut offs. I've fallen in love with them. xo

SO OH MY GOD, WHO WATCHED THE ROYAL WEDDING?! It was incredible, especially Kate's dress. Wonderful creation by Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen. Her sister Pippa looked amazing too, suited her figure so well. Now here's the topic of interest.. Princess Beatrice. I feel like I'm the only one who liked what she wore! I wore this yesterday to a friend's house. This cardigan is probably my favourite cardigan I own, and what sucks is that it has shrunk a bit. So it's gone from the perfect level of bagginess to just the perfect fit. I liked it better before but I'm glad it isn't too small! Also, look at my footwear.. they're brogues! As most schools in Australia have school uniforms, we often have "casual dress" days where we wear normal clothes. Normally we bring a gold coin donation so the school can collect the money and donate it to charity. This time the theme was red and white to raise money for the victims of the Japanese earthquake. Thankfully, I had this shirt that I had totally forgotten about! It's probably one of my favourite and "forgotten" pieces in my wardrobe.

So lately I've been stalking pretty boys at school (in a non-creepy way of course) with my friend Sarah. I think I may because a professional stalker now.. it's.. fun..

Next week is the last week of school before the holidays so I'm pretty psyched as year 12 is fucking up my head. ZOMG GUYS, it's been too long. I forgot to tell you guys in my last post that I was going to Cairns for a week.. oops. Also, I've been taking a short break from blogging, trying to get my shite homework done as school starts in a week! AGH.

Anyway, Cairns Cairns Cairns. I went with my family. Cairns is amazing, the weather is great when it isn't sunny (because you burn, then melt!), the city is great, the nightlife, the scenery, the everything. It's such a carefree relaxing place to be. One thing I really didn't like was that they didn't have a General Pants store there, what the eff. How do you people survive?! Oh my, but really, anyone that comes to Australia must visit Cairns in Queensland, it's great. And no, I have not been recruited by Tourism Queensland, hahah.

Yesterday was Australia day, literally my favourite day of the year, even better than my birthday. I'm just very patriotic! Went to a friends house where we chilled and played a little pool cricket. Well, not me, I was taking photos. Photos up soon! x

Now for the best bit of the post - NEW YEARS EVE! How was everyone's new years? Mine was fucking insane. A few friends and I met up at Flinders Street station and took and tram to South Melbourne beach where we got a bit tipsy drinking Cruisers. At midnight we were back at Federation Square screaming our heads off watching the fireworks. Boys were also involved. Let's just say that it's better and much more fun to be single at midnight on new years...

I decided to go all Givenchy on myself today so I chose some pieces from my wardrobe that reminded me of their latest collections. The leopard print is from their Spring Summer 2011 collection and the graphic geometric print is from their Spring 2010 collection. I wore this to a Christmas party. It was great, I got to catch up with friends that I haven't seen in a while but the weather was SHITE! It's summer and the temperature is what, 20 degrees?! My party is so soon and I was really hoping for the weather to be warm and summery, but no, it won't be. I love the warm weather so it's quite disappointing really. xo

Hola, I'm back from Sydney! So I thought seeing as Sydney is about 1000 km closer than Melbourne to the equator plus it's the first day of summer that the weather would be absolutely amazing but no, it was horrible. It was raining all day and the gale force winds totally ruined the trip AND I couldn't even find a see-through poncho! But in the end we went to Manly beach and I had a nice chicken Caesar salad and I bought a few nice things so it was all good. Oh yeah, and try not to fly with Tiger, it kinda sucks ahah. P.S. Ignore the sign I'm holding in the first photo, my friend didn't believe that I was going to Sydney, for a day. Who would?

Hey guys, I made this skirt with suspenders on Thursday after realising I had nothing to wear to a party I was invited to yesterday! I'm pretty proud of it actually, it's very cute. After the party, my friends and I got stranded at Southern Cross station because there were no trains! The elastic on these amazing shoes broke, bloody cheap shoes haha so I had to walk around in these tights and it was too gross. We ended up getting home at about 2 am. Went to the city yesterday! I was reluctant to wear these wedges because I tend to do a fuck load of walking when I go shopping but they were surprisingly comfortable. I think I love them. I also love these tights! Ever since I saw the heart suspender ones from Topshop, I had to find myself a cheaper pair and I did! They were delivered pretty quickly too. I pretty much forced my friend to take photos of me if you're wondering, she did pretty well, no?

I bought some really really nice things yesterday including a brown Wang Coco duffel knock off, a spider web heart clutch bag and some cross pendant necklaces! I'll try to show you guys soon!

This was my boring outfit from yesterday. Boring I guess because I live in Melbourne and the weather is retarded! Four seasons (if you're thinking about the condoms, NO haha) in a day in Spring means that I can't wear thin clothing so I settled for a denim shirt buttoned up to the top, a cardigan and leggings. I was still very oh so cold though! I also decided to wear some eyeliner, haha I really need a change. Currently looking up smokey eye makeup tutorials on YouTube, so fun!

This weekend has been great so far. I went to a party yesterday and made this amazing dress for it. We danced all night- GOSH I really need a foot massage. This was the first time I wore these amazing discounted wedges so I got really paranoid about damaging them so I sprayed like, 5 layers of suede protection on them beforehand haha. I'm going to see Melbourne Victory FC vs Brisbane Roar FC later, so excited! Yes, that's football talk people.

Hey butches, zis is what I wore yesterday to school. Why? Free dress day! I actually hate free dress days, the agony of having to wake up early and raid your closet for something to wear, or even worse, staying up late the night before and doing it. I especially hate free dress days right now, in winter! Layers upon layers... ugh. The school uniform is just so much easier.

Anyhoo, see that patch on the denim jacket? I ironed that on about a year ago, after I found the patch after cleaning out a room in my house so it was very weird when I found on another blog recently a girl did the exact same thing! Haha! I haven't worn it because it's a very 80s jacket with massive upper arm sleeves and shoulders and didn't really like it until now. I'm pretty happy with it, it's my favourite piece at the moment!

I treasure the days where my family aren't home, as I can take photos with my tripod without worrying about nosy looking at me pose. I took these in my backyard, which you can see from the kitchen, where my mum literally spends all her time there, I swear, she practically sleeps in the sink. So yeah, I'm happy with these photos!

We use them all day everyday, all the time, pretty much 24/7. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and shades. We can decorate them with pretty little things like rings and nail polish and we take care of them by applying moisturising hand cream every night. I guess I'm lucky that I have slender fingers, not bony or sausage-like. I have a friend with bony fingers and she hates it because she can't fit the rings over her knuckles. Yeah.

So why not dedicate a whole post to something that most of us take for granted?

Guten tag!
So my friend and I went to Swan street yesterday so I could go to Soccer fever because they had a 50% off everything sale! I ended up getting an official Socceroos jersey, shorts, wristband and a scarf which costed me just over $100. Maybe I'll post it one day, not that it'd be of any interest of you foreigners but maybe you'd just be interested in me looking the epitome of cool.

Anyway, this is what I wore. OH MY GOSH, do you see that? These outfit photos are actually reasonably good for once. Why? Because I was with a friend that actually liked taking photos. Sure, I had to coach her through the whole thing but it sure is fantabulous having nice photos for once.

This is what wore last night to go see Swan Lake on ice. I was actually really not interested but I had free tickets and my sister wanted to go so yeah. It was so so cold and that's what's good about wearing full length skirts! You can wear leggings under them for extra warmth without anyone really noticing! Full length skirts are definitely my new obsession because I'm not very confident with my legs so they're perfect.

OK, I know, I'm pissing you off because none of my photos actually contain my face. That's because my face doesn't do well with camera flashes - it looks like a balloon AND my hair doesn't look good with flashes especially with my constantly moving wannabe fringe. A.k.a long hair that is just pushed over the forehead. Haha you know what I mean.

Also, I think it'd be really great if I had full body shots of my outfits but I don't have a tripod that can hold my camera on the side without snapping in half and I don't have any friends/family that are willing to take photos of me! Agh that pisses me off!

Anyhoo, this week I've been on eBay 24/7 looking for football related things and pretty shoes! I never though eBay could be so addictive.

OK, I really do think Christopher Kane is trying to kill me with these amazing outer space digital prints on his latest resort collection! If you think about it, the pieces are really very simple, it's just the prints on the fabric make it burst with awesomeness. My favourite outfit is the first one- with the blue tee tied up under the chest and the long pink skirt, the contrasting colours look so heavenly. Haha, the shoes are kinda interesting!

These tees from youreyeslie are brilliant. I love the massive prints and the cut outs on the shoulders and lower stomach area! If I were to get this, I'd get a baggy one like the one on the right and wear it with my beloved high waisted denim shorts.

Ohhh this bodysuit from Black Milk is over the top lush. I wish I could pull it off though, I mean, who wouldn't want an American astronaut on their tummy? Damn straight I would. P.S. I want that model's hair!

These necklaces from Finestra are kinda fantastical, I've always wanted to have a whole universe hanging off my neck. Even better, each purchase will have 20% donated to a charity of your choice.

So, as you can see, I am quite obsessed with digital out-of-this-world galaxy prints right now. I actually own about six t shirts and a bag and am yet to buy a Christopher Kane jumpsuit. Maybe after 4500 shifts at my new majorly non existent job.

Good news though, after a long wait, I have been called up by a place that I applied for, a bowling alley! I have the interview tomorrow, wish me luck. I'LL FINALLY HAVE SOME GODDAMN $$$.

Yesterday I went to see a soccer match, or as most of you call it, football. It was between Everton and Melbourne heart and it was amazing! I've really fallen in love with soccer, all I talk about is soccer, my bank account is practically in the negatives because of all the world cup and Socceroos merchandise I've been buying ahh!

You know, I'm so obsessed that I haven't even taken a peek at the Shop Til You Drop magazine that got delivered to my house because of the subscription. I've been reading soccer magazines!
